He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Koehnke and Edna Koehnke; his spouse Marlyn (Akerly); and his brother H. Calvin Koehnke. He is survived by: his son Mark (Linda); his grandson Michael (Maria); and his sisters, Doris Larson and Mary Lee Dahlinger. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
