He was predeceased by: his parents, John Courie and Mary Courie of Houston, PA.; and his siblings, Samuel (Ruth), Joseph Courie, Rose Mathews (Tony) and Theodora Deems (Donald).
He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie DePaoli Courie; his sons, Robert J. Courie (Courtney) and John J. "JJ" Courie (Joy); his grandchildren, Isabella Rose, Zachary James, Nicholas Christian, Kurt John and Colton Joseph; and his brother Charles Courie (Charlotte).
