It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Florence E. Stanko of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 1, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Florence may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Florence touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Wilbert A. Stanko; her son Gregory Stanko; and her siblings, Eleanore Warmus and Edward Echnat. She is survived by: her daughter Christine Stanko (Becky Jilcott); and her sister-in-law Alana Stanko.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Freyvogel-Slater Funeral Directors (112 Fort Couch Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15241). A Mass was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Church (126 Fort Couch Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15241). A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:15 AM at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (2900 Washington Rd, Canonsburg, PA 15317).
