He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hampton and Martha Hampton (Papp). He is survived by: his wife Theresa DiPasquale; his sons, Steven J. Hampton Jr. of Columbia, SC, Louis J. Hampton of Philadelphia and Christopher T. Hampton of Providence, RI; and his siblings, Robert Hampton of Pottsville, PA, Joseph Hampton (Tricia) of Moscow, PA, Karen Karchner of Berwick, Jill Andretta (Michael) of Selinsgrove and Sandra Hampton of Berwick.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph (721 Monroe St, Berwick, PA 18603).
