He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Smith and Emma Smith (Painter); and his brothers, Victor, Carl and Samuel.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Keck; his children, Richard D. Smith (Faith) of Berwick, Jodi Rhodes (Ross) of Catawissa and Bradley L. Smith (Jody) of Berwick; his grandchildren, Jen, Ashton and Kristin; his great grandchild Adalyn; and his sister Barbara Adams (Ronald) of Texas.
