She was predeceased by: her parent George; her former husband Angelo Melchiorre; and her siblings, Joe Phares and Nellie Smith. She is survived by: her husband Gabe M. Scala; her children, Angela (Gordon Harmon), Pennie (Rich Matash), Mark Melchiorre of South Pasadena and Jim Melchiorre (Sherry) of Berwick; and her stepson Gabe J. Scala (Gina) of Bethlehem. She is also survived by grandchildren, five step grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
