He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard and Thelma Smoyer, Sr. (Baker). He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Snyder; his children, Mary Trapane (Daniel) and Carl Smoyer; and his grandchildren, Evelyn and Nathaniel. He is also survived by several nieces and cousins.
