He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Karns and Patricia Karns (Balazs); his sister Katherine Karns; his nephew Donnie Karns; and his sister-in-law Tammy Karns.
He is survived by: his children, John F. Karns, II of Berwick, Aaron Karns of Larkspur, CO and Jordanna Karns-Kreischer; his grandchildren, Dejanee Karns, Destin Karns, Tyleigh Hutchinson, Aubriella Ford, John Karns III, Draelyn Karns-Kreischer, Remlie Karns-Kreischer and Valik Karns-Kreischer; his great grandchild Meadow McHale; and his brothers, Victor Karns of Colorado Springs, CO, Douglas Karns of Berwick and Jeffrey Karns of Berwick.
