He was predeceased by: his parent Leo Grant Bankes; and his siblings, Leo Bankes and Catherine Cerasaro. He is survived by: his parent Catherine Bankes (Brozburg); his children, Edward A. Bankes, II, David Leo Bankes and Melissa Ann Long of Berwick; his grandchildren, Larry "Ricky" Long, III, Brielle Shae Bankes and Cheyenne Elizabeth Bankes; his stepgranddaughter Kaitlin Spudes; and his sisters, Evelyn Shultz of Berwick, Jean Shires of Bloomsburg and Bessie Mae Bankes (Hopper) of Berwick.
