It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl G. Pifer (Berwick, Pennsylvania), who passed away on February 22, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carl G. Pifer to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Pifer and Theresa Pifer (Bower); his wife Agnes L. Nerhood; his children, Tammy Jo Pifer, Roger Lee and Melvin Delroy Pifer; and his siblings, Oscar, Donald Pifer, Thelma Keck, Geraldine Dietterick and Dorothy Fausey.
He is survived by: his children, Marilyn (Larry Wilson) of Bloomsburg, Elaine (Clyde "Bud" Thomas) of Bloomsburg, Phyllis (Randy Smith) of Bloomsburg, George Pifer of Bloomsburg, Leonard Pifer of Burke, VA and Gary Pifer (Roland) of Richmond, VA; his grandchildren, Heather Kester, Johnathan Pifer, Carrie Yoder, Keith Smith, Brad Smith and Jennifer Linder; his stepgrandchildren, Sonya Slusser and John Robbins; and his sisters, Mary Adams and Shirley Whitebread. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Evansville United Methodist Church, Evansville and Lights Roads, Berwick, PA 18603.
