He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade B. Weatherholtz and Kathryn B. Weatherholtz (Fritz); his son Gene P. Weatherholtz, Jr.; and his siblings, Dean Weatherholtz and Kay Werni.
He is survived by: his wife Lynne C. Weatherholtz (Miller); his children, Robert Weatherholtz, Patricia Patterson and Sue Weatherholtz; his stepchildren, Troy LaFaver and Marcene (Kevin Bowen); and his siblings, Jon Weatherholtz (Nancy), Wade Weatherholtz, Jr. (Sharon) and Joan Sheffer. He is also survived by five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
