He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Homa and Carol Homa (Shaffer); his niece Kristen Zubek; and his mother-in-law Eleanor Petro. He is survived by: his wife Rochelle Petro; his son Steven Homa Jr. (Amber); his granddaughters, Abigail and Brinleigh; his sister Stephanie Zubek (Bill); his nieces, Shannon Walylko, Lauren Barnes, Alisha Coulter and Noelle Dunmeyer; his nephew Bill Zubek; his father-in-law Paul Petro; and his brothers-in-law, Jeff Petro (Desiree) and Donald Petro.
