He was predeceased by: his parents, Telford McNeal and Jessie May Hoover (Uphold); and his brother Arnold. He is survived by: his wife Violet Sarver; his children, Bob (Brenda) and Barbara Jean Hoover; his grandchildren, Michael (Christa) and Kelli Hoover; and his brother Glenn Hoover.

Memorial contributions may be given to Meadow Mountain Mennonite Church, 6117 Bittinger Rd., Swanton, MD 21561.
