She was predeceased by: her parents, Golden Nixon and Anita Nixon (Topolopski); her foster parents, Alvin Chaney and Amy Chaney; her sister Arlene Robertson; and her stepsiblings, Henry, Luther, Joseph, Charles Chaney, Alma Ohler, Slinda "Buck" Chaney, Ruth Chaney and Elsie Benning.
She is survived by: her husband Harold Albert "Nick" Nicholson; her sons, David Allen Nicholson (Christina) and Jeffery Scott Nicholson (Kristine) of Somerset, PA; and her sister Virginia Adams of Cumberland, MD. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
