She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Gondek and Ellen Gondek (Stapinski); her brother James Gondek; and her siblings-in-law, Marlene Gondek (Speicher) and Terrence Cover.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas L. Smith; her children, Amanda Custer (Steven) and Ryan Smith (Jill); her grandchildren, Caleb, Colin Custer, Avalyn, Graden and Ellisyn Smith; her sister-in-law Linda Cover; and her nieces and nephews, Tracy Cover, Marci Cover, Christine Schiwart (Dennis) and Robert Gondek (Michelle).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Deaner Funeral Home (705 Main St, Berlin, PA 15530). A vigil service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Gregory's Catholic Church (137 426, Berlin, PA 15530).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to St. Gregory's Catholic Church, 247 High St., Meyersdale, PA 15552.
