He was predeceased by: his parents, Herlen Smith and Bessie Smith (Weible); his wife Hazel Conn; his son Dale Smith; and his siblings, Leoris Ogline and David "Larry" Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Wanda Bussard (Randy); his grandchildren, Alexis Lewis (Carey) and Jared (Ashley Amabile); his great grandchildren, Mac and Evelyn Lewis; and his siblings, Dorothy (Don), Betty (Ralph), Leroy Smith (Georgia) and Herlen.
