He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred J. Hess and Edith E. Hess (Young); and his siblings, Gregory D. Hess and Sandra Hess. He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his daughters, Holly Fetterman (Adam) of Bloomsburg and Cerissa Getz (John) of Benton; his grandchildren, Abigail Getz, Hannah Getz and Andrew Fetterman (Sarah Pollard); his daughter Erin Covington (Olin); his brother James R. Hess (Debora) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and his nephew Aaron Hess (Kathy) of Maine.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Waller United Methodist Church.
