He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Betz and Celia Betz; and his wife Linda L. Betz (Lausch). He is survived by: his son James Edward Betz; his sisters, June George of Palmyra and Phyllis Eckert of Elizabethtown; and also, Brian and Deborah Popp. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
