He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Larue and Lena Jane Charles (Welliver); his wives, Betty Sue Charles (Garrison) and Dora E. Charles (Hess); his children, Bruce Charles and Becky Sue Charles; and his siblings, Rodney Charles and Judy Charles.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie C. Charles, Sr. (Nancy) of Orangeville, Angie Snyder (Butch) of Bloomsburg and Pastor Robert J. "Bob" Hess (Christie) of Berwick; his siblings, Barbara Messersmith of Elkton, MD, Dennis Charles of Benton and Kay Schwartz of Bloomsburg; and also Along. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
