He is survived by: his wife Alice Bakun; his son Raphael Alex Alcalde (Gwen) of Avon, Indiana; his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Emma and Elizabeth Alcalde; and his sister Carmen Alcalde (Spain). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
