He is survived by: his spouse Marion Shields; his sons, Jesse George Shields (Siobhan), Joseph Robert Shields (Kiersten) and Paul Michael Shields (Christiana); his grandchildren, Damien, Haley, Ally, Makayla, Leon and Maxwell; and his brother Michael Shields (Elaine).
