He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his son George; his daughter-in-law Melissa; his children, Steven and Mary Beth; his son-in-law Matthew; his grandchildren, Chase, Dylan, Sarah, Julia and Jude; and his siblings, Margaret Gatti (John) and William McClellan (Robin).

“I worked with George at RDA. I always appreciated George's friendship, expertise, and humility. Geoge knew a lot. We could always go to him with questions on a variety of subjects, and he would have good responses, from technical, to hiring, to many things. George was humble. He rarely spoke of his own life, but every once in a while, when he shared something, you realized how much he did and accomplished. LIsa and I convey our love, condolences, and prayers to the McClellan family.”
