He was predeceased by: his sons, Stephen Smerker and Joseph Smerker. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen M.; his siblings, Terri Birnstiel (Ed) and Robert M. Smerker (Susan); and his children, Kristin Smerker, Frank Smerker, Karin Smerker and Michael Smerker. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren; Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
