He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara Keller Garretson; his parents, Ryland Garretson and Margaret Blocher Garretson; his grandparents, Jacob Blair Garretson and Lizzie Brough Garretson; and his children, Daniel Garretson (Cathy) of Biglerville, Angela Perkinson (Harry) of Dallastown, Thomas Garretson (Susan) of Boiling Spring, Leslie Baust of Aspers, Bruce Garretson (Susan) of Dillsburg and Jennie Gordon (Lee) of Little Rock, AR. He was also cherished by his 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that Memorials in Harold's name be made to the Penn State Fruit Research and Extension Center, 290 University Drive, Biglerville, PA 17307 or the Alzheimer's Association, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
