He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald, Sr. Merritts and Sylvia Merritts (Adams); and his grandson Michael Houk, III. He is survived by: his children, Carol Adams of Duncansville, Paula Mortimer (Michael, Jr.) of Altoona and Andrew Adams (Natalie) of Bellwood; his grandchildren, Michael III, Caleb, Benjamin Mortimer, Kayleeanha Adams and Gracie Houk; and his brothers, Ronald, Jr. and David Merritts. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
