She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Kalnas and Susan Kalnas (Daransky); and her brothers, Ralph, Michael and Ronald Kalnas.

She is survived by: her brother Ernest Kalnas; and her nieces and nephews, Mary Ann Stefko, Michael Rouzer, Rebecca Northcutt, Will, Jim Kalnas (Kim), Andrea Harhai and Tasha Wheeler. She is also survived by cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Shirley's memory to Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, 1437 Superior Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
