Sandra Anne McGee Obituary
Sandy McGee of Bellefonte, PA died at home from complications due to alcoholism. Sandy was the daughter of the late Karen Seagren and the late Russell Hedstrom. She was a 1986 graduate of Falconer Jr.-Sr. High School and later graduated from Jamestown Community College (JCC), Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), and then Lock Haven University. Sandy spent much of her career passionate about caring for others as a nurse, most recently at Mount Nittany Medical Center and Centre Care. She loved animals (especially her golden retrievers), the beach, and Penn State Football.
Sandy married the love of her life, the late Fran McGee, on June 22, 2008. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2014. She never fully recovered from his loss.
Surviving are her beloved kids, Autumn (Steve) Zaionz of Buffalo, NY, and Braden (Elizabeth) McGee of Bury St. Edmunds, UK; her sisters Katie (Tom) O'Toole of Atlanta, Ga, her twin sister Melinda (Victor) Holderman of Julian, PA, Sue Hedstrom of Mingoville, PA and Kris Koski of FL; and her many nieces and nephews, and great nephews-whom she adored.
A private family tribute will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if desired, a donation can be made to the animal or addiction charity of your choice.
