Patricia E McNight Obituary
Patricia E. "Pat" (Pheasant) McNight, 89, of Bellefonte, entered into her eternal rest on Saturday, December 30, 2023, with her two grandchildren beside her. Born on February 27, 1934, in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Elizabeth H. (Cline) Pheasant.
Pat graduated from Altoona Area High School. She owned and managed the Pat McNight Realty in DuBois, PA for over 20 years before going to work for Beech Mountain Lakes in Drums, PA. She was their general manager for over 10 years before retiring and moving to Florida.
Pat was a collector of many things, but butterflies were her favorite. She loved to travel and accomplished visiting all 50 states of the U.S.A. She was a strong willed, professional woman. She supported the DuBois community, acted as the Republican Party Chairwoman, and through Pat McNight Realty she supported the Chamber of Commerce as well as sponsored local sports teams.
Pat is survived by daughters, Laurie K. Verbeke (Vince) and Amy E. Burd (Greg), son, David A. McNight (Jan), sister, Vivian McDonald; as well as 8 grand-children. When Pat moved back to Pennsylvania after Florida, she was also supported and survived by her companion, Gary Burd.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by 3 siblings (1 sister, 2 brothers), 2 sons as well as granddaughter, Loryn Rae.
In accordance with Pat's wishes, there will be no public services. She will be laid to rest privately with her parents at the Grandview Cemetery in Altoona. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the organization of the donor's choice or to the North American Butterfly Association (https://naba.org).
Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc in Milesburg, PA.
