It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nellie E. Witmer of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 27, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Stover and Roxie Stover (Tressler); her husband John W. Witmer; her siblings, Eugene Stover, Elwood Stover, Rosella Day and Bella Gummo; and her grandsons, John Witmer and Brian Witmer.
She is survived by: her children, Oscar Witmer (Brenda) of State College, PA, Bill Witmer of Penns Valley, Russ Witmer (Betsy) of Penns Valley, PA and Michele Witmer Haines (Alex) of Bellefonte, PA; and her sister Helen Poorman of State College, PA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
