Marjorie A. Waite Obituary
Marjorie A. "Marge" Waite, 71, of Bellefonte passed away at Mount Nittany Medical Center, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Marge was born in Lock Haven on June 7, 1952, the daughter of the late Richard L. and SaraJane (Shilling) Shearer. On May 4, 1979 she married Charles M. "Chuck" Waite who survives at home. Along with her husband she is survived by her children, Michael R. (Kay) Shearer, Matt C. (Sommer) Waite, Mark T. (Lisa) Waite, Travis (Wendy) Quici all of Bellefonte and her sister, Jane Shearer Carter of The Colony, Texas. Also surviving are her 5 grandchildren.
Marge was a 1970 graduate of Lock Haven High School and a 1971 graduate of State Beauty School in Williamsport. She worked for DiAnn's Beauty Salon in Lock Haven. In 1982 she started Marge Waite's Beauty Salon in Bellefonte. Marge was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Bellefonte. She was a dog lover and also had a love for flowers.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Marge to Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Hwy, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
