It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Lulu Hoy of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, who passed away at the age of 94, on September 10, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Witherite and Rachel Witherite (Warner); her husband William H. Hoy; her son Rodney Hoy; and her siblings, Merrill, Gus, Jay, Charlie Witherite, Hannah Mayes, Ethel Meyers, Carrie Meyers, Bessie Shawver, Marjorie Orr and Fae Spicer.
She is survived by: her children, Martha Smith (Claude) of Clearfield, William S. "Shannon" Hoy (Debbie) of Bellefonte, Karen McCreary (Dennis) of McElhattan, Daniel Hoy (Sandy) of Bellefonte and Judy Vonada (Gary) of Milesburg; and her sister Lois Burd of Bellefonte. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lulu's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
