It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Markel of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 19, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ken Markel and Laoma Markel; his son Eric; and his sister Bonnie Letrick. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Markel (Columbus); his son Ben Markel; his siblings, Donald Markel (Peg) and Peggy Ickley (Randy); and his nieces and nephews, Harmony Aungst (Greg), Erin Letrick (Mark), Kim Zalta (Al), Adam Markel (Amanda) and Brian Letrick.
Following CDC recommendations, social distancing is encouraged, and face coverings will be required at all services. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
