Joyce Alene Mingle Davidson Obituary
Joyce Alene Mingle Davidson, 92, of rural Bellefonte passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at her residence. Joyce was born on April 9, 1930 in State College a daughter of the late Robert Ralston and Miriel Isabel Moore Mingle. On October 22, 1955 she married the love of her life and husband Richard Gray Davidson who preceded her in death in 1969. She is survived by her son Douglas Gray (Marilyn) Davidson and her daughter Amy Dawn Davidson; 2 grandchildren Jason Gray of Kentucky and Ashley Elizabeth of Bellefonte. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert "Bob" Mingle, and her sisters, Jean Miriel Mingle Lutz and Elizabeth Ann Mingle.
Joyce had worked at Wingate Elementary School in the cafeteria, Bestway Truck Stop in the kitchen and Center Crest Nursing Home, before her retirement.
Joyce loved music, gardening, making crafts, helping others, singing in the church choir, and was a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed the church socials, her family and her Lord.
Joyce was a member of Bald Eagle Valley Community United Methodist Church.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 27, 2023, from 12 Noon – 1:30 PM at the Bald Eagle Valley United Methodist Church, 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte, with the funeral service to follow at 1:30 PM with Rev. Dr. Nancy Hale officiating. Burial will be in New Union Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made to Bald Eagle Valley Community United Methodist Church 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte, PA 16823 in Memory of Joyce Alene Mingle Davidson or to UPMC Family Hospice of Altoona, 201 Chestnut Ave., Altoona, PA 16601 in Memory of Joyce Alene Mingle Davidson.
