Janice M Wyland Obituary

Janice M. Wyland, 71, of Bellefonte, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Haven Place in Lock Haven. Born on July, 24, 1952, in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Leo K. and Verna M. (Dillen) Nearhoof. Janice attended Bald Eagle Area High School. She was, employed as a Cashier at Walmart for several years but spent the best part of her career as a Personal Care Giver. She made a lot of friends as a caregiver and enjoyed helping people. Janice loved singing at Karaoke. She enjoyed trying her luck at gaming machines and scratch off tickets. She looked forward to the trips to Sayer's Dam in Howard to go boating and fishing. She, rarely caught anything but tangled lines but it didn't stop her from, trying. She also enjoyed yard sale trips with her sister, Sharon, and found many treasures to share with her friends and family. Janice is survived by her son, Jason E. Korman of Yarnell; daughter, Tina M. Homan and her companion, Craig Lewis, of Clarence; brother, Jim L. Nearhoof and his wife, Jeannie, of Wrightsville, PA, and her sister, Sharon Ripka and her husband, Ken, of Bellefonte. She is also survived by five grandchildren. Along with her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie K. Korman and her sister Shirley Goss. A Celebration of Life is planned for the summer of 2024.
