She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank W. Barner and Margaret Barner (Fleisher); her husband Richard H. Thompson; her daughter Brenda Witmer; and her siblings, Betty Weaver, Elma Berens and Donald.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa Thompson of Bellefonte and Jennifer Day of Milesburg; and her siblings, Jean Strouse and Dale Barner. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
