Doris J Partridge Obituary
Doris Jean Partridge, 92, of Bellefonte, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center. She had been a resident at Foxdale Village in State College since 2021 where she received wonderful care. Born on March 3, 1931 and raised in Hughesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Rolland D. and Hazel B. (Johnson) Poust . She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Roy Partridge, married Nov. 23, 1956, and died Nov. 19, 1988, sharing 32 short years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her sister, Helen Patricia Pugh, March 10, 2021.
She is survived by her sister's husband, J. Loyd Pugh of Fancy Gap, VA, nephew J. Rolland Pugh of Winston Salem, NC, and nieces Rhea P. Kafer of Portland, ME and Laurie A. Moon of Lansing, NC.
Doris was an active member and organist at First Presbyterian Church of Milesburg. She also taught hundreds of piano and organ students in her lifetime, impacting them with her knowledge of music and her shining light for the Lord.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 1:30pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Milesburg and then buried beside Roy Partridge in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hughesville.
