He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Rae Alterio (McClintic); his daughter Kella Marie Alterio (Thurston) of Pittsburgh; his granddaughters, Savannah and Isabelle; and his siblings, Robert, Thomas and Linda. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
