He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lee and Lauretta Hornberger Long; and his brothers, Roger and Ronnie Long. He is survived by: his wife Susan Patricia Tracy; his daughters, Tracy Roberts (Chad) of Richland, WA, Stephanie Long and Zane Mas of Wheat Ridge, CO; his siblings, Larry, Dennis, Terry Long, Sandy Savage, Betty Tedesco and Joanne Long; and his granddaughter Milla Roberts.
