With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Lou Deaton of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 26, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas C. Houtz and Gladys Viola Swanger Houtz. She is survived by: her daughter Leslie A. Specht (Martin); her brother Richard C. Houtz (Joan) of Bellefonte; her nephew Scott Richard Houtz (Michele); her granddaughters, Mary Beth Platt (Andrew), Katelyn and Laura Specht; and her great grandchildren, Russell, Charles, Isaac and Owen Platt.
