It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Walter Heid of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, born in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 10, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter F. Heid and Caroline Heid (Stem); his brother George Heid; and his nephew Walter Heid. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Heid; his children, Sheryl Heid Lazar (Jerry) of Perryopolis and Bryan Heid (Cindy) of Sharpsburg; his grandchildren, Anna and Joel Lazar; his stepgrandchildren, Holly Croteau (Dave) and Michael Scott; his great grandchild Alexander Croteau; his nieces and nephews, Stephen, David Heid, Stacie Kennefick and Laura Fohl (Chip); and his great-niece Olivia.
In order to comply with Covid-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited to 25 people at any given time inside the funeral home. Guests are required to wear masks and follow CDC social distancing guidelines.
