He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gardner (Galvie) and Clara Jesick; his siblings, Thelma Wilson, Joan Kasunic, Claire Aldridge, William Gardner, James Gardner and Peter Gardner; and his great grandchild Mark James.

He is survived by: his wife Carole Pozum; his sons, Gerald Gregg (Michele) of Somerdale, NJ and Richard David Gardner of McCandless; his great grandchildren, Clara, Gabrien, Coen, Magnolia and Shiloh; and also, Joshua (Cherith), Melissa Diliberto (Mark), Matthew, Jacob, Ryan and Zachary.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes any donations to be directed to support Galvie's grandson Joshua's family mission to further the good news of the Gospel.
