He was predeceased by: his father Donald W. Rice Sr.; his brother Donald W. "Wally" Rice Jr.; and his uncle Robert "Bob" Kerr. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy "Dotty" Rice (Kerr); his daughter Briana Mentzer (Matthew) of Bedford; his stepgrandson Mason; and his uncle Dan Kerr of Bedford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
