It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Shoemaker of Bedford, Pennsylvania, born in Cresaptown, Maryland, who passed away on May 19, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry E. and Carrie Shirey Sr. (Bowman); and her siblings, Chancey, Forest, Bruce, Clifton, Harry E. Shirey Jr. and Lillian Martz.

She is survived by: her son-in-law Harold Shoemaker; and her grandchildren, C. Rhett Shoemaker (Deborah) of Bedford, Max A. Shoemaker (Nancy) of Bedford, Brooks R. Shoemaker (Jennifer) of Bedford, Travis James Shoemaker (Christine), Amanda Foor (Josh), Casey Shoemaker, Chad Shoemaker (Meggie), Mollie Turkovich (Robert III), Taylor Shoemaker, Nathan Shoemaker and Samantha Shoemaker. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and three nieces.
