She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Messersmith and Mildred Messersmith (Kaltenbaugh); her daughter Jacqueline "Jackie" Koontz; and her brothers, Blair and Dalton "D. J.".
She is survived by: her husband Clyde Casteel; her daughter Cathy (Todd Manz) of Lexington, SC; her son-in-law Brad Koontz of Bedford; her grandchildren, Eric Koontz (Ashley) of Atlanta, GA and Amy Koontz (Jason Gonzales) of Arlington, VA; and her great grandchildren, Maggie, Bradley Koontz, Ella and Ethan Gonzales.
