She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lloyd Whysong and Dollie Beatrice Marguerite Whysong (Mills); her son Gerald; her daughter-in-law Laurie; and her sister Betty Mathers.

She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Ritchey; her children, Beverly Haynes (Dean) of Cocoa Beach, FL, Michael Ritchey (Debra), Diane Burdin of Brandywine, MD and Sharon Malekian (Ehssan) of Great Falls, VA.; her grandchildren, Amy Black, Julie Champion, Kristi Keller, Jennifer Gasaway, Jason Ritchey, Jessica Ritchey, Kenneth Ritchey, Donald Ritchey, Melissa Magill, Ryan Malekian and Nicole Malekian; and her great grandchildren, Maddison Black, Bryce Black, Hayley Champion, Kenneth Champion, Brandon Gasaway, Emily Gasaway, Mayleigh Ritchey, Myrinah, Madilynn Ritchey, Liam, Nolan Killian Ritchey and Melody Magill.
