Joseph R. Casteel Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 29, 2024, at the age of 93, Joseph R. Casteel of Bedford, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Casteel and Mary Casteel (Stayer) of Bedford; his brother Lloyd Casteel; and his son Norman Casteel. He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Just and Lisa Bair; his grandchildren, Kyle Bair and Miranda Manusco (Ron); his sister Carol Snyder; and his sister-in-law Laverne Casteel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. James Lutheran Church (1952 Imlertown Rd, Bedford, PA 15522). Before Covid, he was an avid walker and you could see him walking his 2-miles around Bedford on a pretty much daily basis.
