He was predeceased by: his parents, Sheldon Smith and Sarah Smith (Casteel); his brothers, Jim and Clyde Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Pete Imler and Frances Smith.
He is survived by: his siblings, Dot (Richard Mowry), Betty Imler, Donna (Norman Lynn), Bill Smith, Tom Smith (JoAnn) and Everett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
