He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mortimore and Helen Mortimore (Clites); and his siblings, Madaline Zimmers, James, Lawrence, Richard "Dick", Jerry and Tom Mortimore.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Margaret Mortimore (Biddle); his children, Deborah Birch of Bedford and Harry "Butch" (Suzie); his siblings, Joyce (Jim Comp) of Centerville, Donna Holler (late Frank Holler) of Bard, Rita (Randy College) of Point and Johnny (Sandy); and his grandchildren, Charles, Michael, Wesly, Tim, Jesse and Shelby. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
