She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Diehl and Jenny Diehl (Clites); and her siblings, Harold, Elwood, Alvie and Adeline Diehl.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Sams (Patsy), Darl Sams (Janie) and Sharon Bowers (Sam) of Clear Spring, MD; her grandchildren, Travis Sams, Amy Sams, Whitney Sams, Courtney Baker, Tricia Fetter, Aaron Sams, Rebekah Irizarry and Bryan Bowers; her sister-in-law Fay Diehl; and her husband Walter Sams. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
