Hillegass and Leda Hillegass (Mowry); his wives, Helen Hillegass (Kerr), Mae Hillegass (Burkett) and Gail Hillegass (Calhoun); his stepmother Dorothy Hillegass (Geller); his children, Paula Hillegass, Galen and Barry Hillegass; his siblings, Wayne Hillegass (Irene) and Lila Whetstone (Roger); and his grandson Shawn Hillegass.
He is survived by: his sons, David Hillegass (Sharon) of Harrisburg and Terry Hillegass (Sherry) of Bedford; his stepchildren, Shirley Mock Bakken (LaVerne) of Manns Choice, Yvonne Mock Toth (Bob) of Windber, Tina Lewis (Albert) and Randy Diehl; his grandchildren, Shelly, Galen, Devan, Tara, Tammy, Amber, Dustin and Kerry; his stepgrandchildren, Jennifer, April, Courtney, Zachary, Ashley, Amanda and Jonathan; and his brother Ron "Tank" Hillegass (Vicki) of Manns Choice. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
